Recently,  Gordon Central  HOSA students attended GA HOSA's State leadership Conference held in Atlanta. Those attending the conference included Bryanna Darnell (Job Seeking Skills), Katlyn Etheridge (Extemporaneous Writing), Wyatt Bishop (Extemporaneous Writing), Kelsey Burgess, Madelyn Wilson, Dylan Ramsey (Health Education), and Brady Wilson (Job Seeking Skills). Serving future health professionals since 1976, HOSA was created with the idea of providing students with the opportunities to develop as leaders and future employees. The mission of HOSA is to enhance the delivery of compassionate, quality health care by providing opportunities for knowledge, skill and leadership development of all health science technology education students and therefore, helping students to meet the needs of the health care community. At this year's conference, over 4,000 students competed in 55 different events related to all aspects of the health care industry. Since August, these students have been diligently working on their projects by perfecting resumes, cover letters, interviewing skills, preparing speeches and  lesson plans in preparation for this year's conference.  Each of these students represented Gordon Central well and we couldn't be more proud of their accomplishments!
