It has been a GREAT WEEK for GC Activities with more to come. Last Tuesday the Boys Soccer beat Chattooga 7-1, then Thursday Track boys and girls both won their opening meet, then Friday Literary won the Region, Saturday Track girls and Boys won the Farmer's Insurance Relay meet. and Monday the Girls and Boys Soccer beat Armuchee, Golf Won, and the GC and Ashworth band had a great concert and tonight we have the Miss GC and Miss Ashworth Pageant in the Blue Box Theater. Wednesday Soccer will play at Model and Thursday we have a home Track meet............. Don't miss out on the excitement happening here. Our kids and coaches are working very hard and they love seeing you cheer them on.

March 4th at the Farmer's Insurance Relay meet, we had a great day with the seven teams that were here. The weather started off cold but got sunny and warm which made for a great day for Track and Field. The results may be a little confusing at first but the results should be accurate. Because we had to give the points to one individual in the event when there were several scores added together it can be confusing. The Pole Vault, Triple Jump and High Jump took the top 2 individuals from each schools scores and the Shot Put, Discus, and Long Jump took the top 3 from each school. The hurdle relays were also the top 3 from a school made the relay team. The race times were all hand timed for this relay meet.

The final scores for the girls were:

1st Gordon Central 156

2nd LFO - 59

3rd TIE - Ringgold and Sonoraville - 41

5th Model  - 36

6th North Murray - 16

7th Armuchee - 11

The Final Scores for the Boys  were:

1st Gordon Central - 184

2nd Sonoraville - 80

3rd Armuchee - 55

4th Ringgold - 54

5th Model - 50

6th North Murray - 24

7th LFO - 12

In March 2nd's  Track meet we had many personal bests and on a cold night at Ratner Stadium we had our first victories for the Girls and the Boys Track team.
