-Our One Act Team Coached by Dr. Kim Watters and her colleagues were Region 7AA Champions and ended up coming in 3rd at the state                           competition this past weekend.

-GCHS Boys Cross Country coached by Shannon Rainwater placed 3rd in Region competition, competed in the state competition this past                           Saturday and posted a 14th place finish.  From what I have been told this is our best finish in Cross Country in school history.  The GCHS Girls                   Cross Country missed going to state this year for the first time in 4 years.  We know they will be back next year and do great.

-Warrior Motorsports coached by Tim Watkins had 2 teams qualify for Nationals and they competed in Las Vegas last week.  Teams ended up                  11th and 19th respectively.  Great showing for both teams as the teams were made up of just about all new participants.

-GCHS FFA- even with Trish Williams out on extended leave due to injuries she sustained this past summer our FFA program has had several                    students achieve at a high level with our first National Champions being selected this year as well as accolades for our program overall.

-The Blue Wave Band under the direction of Neal Crawford received all Superiors in a competition at Cass High School this fall and also hosted a              very successful Warrior Marching Festival this fall.

-Warrior Football under the direction of first year coach Cory Nix completed the season with as many wins this year as we have had in the past 4             seasons combined and have laid a foundation for success as we move forward.  The #burntheboats has caught on as everyone is buying in and               committing for off season growth to prepare for next year.

-GCHS Competition Cheer Squad has performed well with a 1st Place finish at the Dalton competition recently and is coached by Laura Crow.

-Our 1st season with a varsity level volleyball team was a success as our girls established that GCHS comes to compete.  They finished the                         year 3-5 to finish 5th in Region 7AA.  Great start for a new program.  They are coached by Cindy Miller with Debbie Mixon having a great deal to             do with getting our program off the ground.

-GCHS Softball is coached by Maddie Burns and finished the year with a  3-10 region record to finish the year in 6th place.  The program is                        working hard and improving each year.
